The American Battlefield Trust (ABT) preserves America’s hallowed battlegrounds and educates the public about what happened there and why it matters. ABT permanently protects these battlefields for future generations as a lasting and tangible memorial to the brave soldiers who fought in the American Revolution, the War of 1812, and the Civil War.

Trevilian Station Battlefield Foundation

The Trevilian Station Battlefield Foundation (TSBF) is a 501(c)(3) Virginia Corporation dedicated to the preservation of the Battlefield of Trevilian Station, site of the largest all-cavalry action of the Civil War. The Foundation also works to acquire battlefield land, preserve of artifacts for posterity, and educate the public. At the Battle of Trevilian Station, June 11-12, 1864, Union cavalry under Major General Philip Sheridan fought against Confederate Cavalry under Major Generals Wade Hampton and Fitzhugh Lee. The Friends of Culpeper Battlefields

The Friends of Culpeper Battlefields™ is an organization supporting battlefield-focused preservation, stewardship, and heritage tourism across the historic Culpeper region. Instrumental in the efforts to create Culpeper Battlefields State Park, comprised of more than 2,200 acres of battlefield land preserved as the sites of the Civil War battles of Brandy Station, Cedar Mountain, Kelly’s Ford, and Rappahannock Station, the Friends of Culpeper Battlefields celebrates its dedication as Virginia’s 43rd state park on June 8, 2024. The organization continues to work with government officials, partner groups and community leaders to support the park’s stewardship, management and role in the community, including offering resources for those exploring the area such as maps and itineraries.
